The keto Way to eat

Why most diets fail? you know the answer ?of course the food taste horrible or at lease they are not what your use to eating, many diets offer meals delivered, well they are good but the portions are tiny, the concept here is portion control, many overweight people just are eating the wrong foods. Most doctors advise two major ways to lose weight and get into a healthy eating diet, but lets face it cause we cannot eat what we are use to, and we do not enjoy eating what is suggested, we can cure that we make it so you do not turn your nose at these recipes, Exercise always works and is recommended by doctors not just good eating but some sort of exercise truly works with good eating habits.

Yes now there is another diet or shall I like saying “a new way to eat” Ketogenic Way” doctors discovered and proved it works, how does it work?

What is Keto diet ? I like to say “Way of eating” The Ketogenic Way
Ketogenic is a diet type of very low carbohydrate, designed to force your body to burn fat instead of glucose for energy, this process produces ketones hence the name,

Recipes and foods for this way of eating are truly amazing, because you have a large selection of foods, recipes that are low in carbs,

Check my post in my blog, all posted recipes are Ketogenics way of eating, try a few you think you will like them,see the images, even with keto ,you can have foods like bacon,burgers, steak, and all kinds of salad dishes important for good digestion, many important articles about the dished I will be posting and what part of the body it is best for,I am no expert but by information is from professional sources.

Another term overused is Healthy I know what most articles wish to express that the recipes are good for their health, so lets say “Good For You” I guess I just need to be different I do not enjoy seeing the over use of terms ,I feel readers will just say Oh Boy another healthy recipe,

“I like saying wholesome good for you recipe”

Why is it Called the Ketogenic Diet?

After a few days of fasting or several days of severe carbohydrate restriction, 20 – 30 grams per day, the body’s reserves of carbohydrate become depleted. This is important for a couple of reasons. First, under normal circumstances, the brain and central nervous system (CNS) use glucose for fuel.
Naturally, if carbohydrate is not available, then the body switches to fat for fuel.

That’s no problem considering that most of us have more than enough to spare, right? Wrong. The brain and CNS can’t use fats for fuel. As a result, the body is forced to find an “alternative energy source.”
The alternative energy source that the body creates is ketone bodies, or “ketones” for short. (If you’re interested, there are three ketone bodies: acetoacetate, acetone, and beta-hydroxybutyrate.) The liver is responsible for producing ketone bodies, which it 7

they come from by-products of fat burning. This process of creating ketone bodies is called ketogenesis.
Ketones not only fuel the brain, they are used by skeletal and heart muscles. Not only are ketone bodies a critical “alternative” energy source, they are the most energy efficient fuel, yielding more usable energy than glucose or fat.The Ketogenic Way

Simply put, the ketogenic diet shifts the body’s metabolism away from using and relying on carbs; rather, it results in a virtual complete shift toward fat burning. It’s worth reiterating that there are two ways to upregulate ketogenesis:The Ketogenic Way
1. Fasting; and
2. Severe carbohydrate restriction, which is synonymous with the ketogenic diet.
So, not only is the ketogenic diet a very-low-carbohydrate diet, metabolically speaking, it also mimics fasting. This is very important,

enjoy dishes like this with the right spices and recipe, it’s a healthy alternative to eating right and being healthy and truly enjoying it.

Grilled Herb-Rubbed, Bone-In Pork Chops

 

Grilling pork chops is an entirely different experience than grilling red meat. While steaks can be charred on the outside and a delicious shade of pink or red inside, pork needs to be more uniformly cooked throughout. Therefore, use a medium direct heat while grilling pork so the inside cooks evenly with the outside.

 

The Keto Way to Eat

Keep in mind when assembling the ingredients for the herb rub that it is more of a template than a hard-and-fast rule. We aren’t going for dainty precision with this technique, just a uniform infusion of robust herbal flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 T. kosher salt
  • 6-8 large fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces
  • 2 fresh Rosemary leaves stripped from stems and crushed
  • 2 T. fresh thyme leaves, crushed with fingers
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 T. Kosher Salt
  • 4 thick-cut bone-in pork chops, approximately 1” thick

Instructions

  1. Combine salt, basil, rosemary, thyme, garlic and pepper thoroughly in a small bowl. Rub mixture over all sides of pork chops until thoroughly covered.
  2. Scrub grill grates with a wire brush prior to starting. Preheat grill to medium before adding pork chops over direct heat. Cook for 7-8 minutes, turn once, but otherwise keep the lid closed as much as possible. If your chops are thinner or thicker than 1”, adjust cook time accordingly.
  3. Remove chops from heat, cover and let rest for 3 - 5 minutes before serving. Serve with a grilled summer vegetable medley and top with a pat of compound butter seasoned with the same herbs used in the rub

Notes

Use of fresh spices,"Herbs" make this dish, one might consider a short marinade to ensure tenderness, be picky about the chops you purchase sometimes you can get tough meat, remember pork today can be only cooked thoroughly, but not to 165 degrees like we use to do years ago, pork feed and production has certainly made a healthier Pig by their feeding and healthy care.
